Do I need a physical and immunization record to attend camp?

Yes, all campers must provide a report of physical examination conducted during the preceding 24 months and a certificate of immunization.

What are acceptable forms of payment?

Cash, credit, personal check, cashiers check, or USPS money order are all acceptable forms of payment. If you are registering on the same day of the event only cash, credit, cashiers check, or USPS money order will be accepted.

If paying by check, whom do I make the check payable to?

Please make checks payable to Hoops Elite Academy.

Do I need to pay the full cost of tuition all at once?

No.  Hoops Elite Academy has a number of financial aid options available.  Please email for details.

When is the balance due?

All student-athletes tuition must be paid in full prior to the start of camp.

What is the age limit?

In order to attend Hoops Elite Academy, all participants must be a rising 6th-10th grader.

What are the Hoops Elite Academy hours of operation?

Hoops Elite Academy’s check-in starts at 2:00PM on the first day of each camp session.  Sign-out is at 12:00PM on the last day of each camp session.

What is your refund policy?

All deposits are non-refundable.  Cancellations made 30 days prior to the start date of camp will be fully refundable for those who are paid in full.  Cancellations made after 30 days prior to the start date of camp will receive full credit to attend a future camp session.  All credit expires one calendar year from the date issued.  Cancellations must be made in writing via email, fax, or mail.  No refunds or credit for cancellations made less then 48 hours prior to camp, without a third party doctors note.  All cancellations are subject to a $50 administrative fee.

Are there any discount offers for the cost of tuition?

Hoops Elite Academy offers a number of financial aid options including need based, team, sibling, and early enrollment discounts.  Please email for details.

How competitive is camp?

Each session is initially divided up based on age and experience level, and then is adjusted by the coaches to fit the skill level of each individual camper.  Our younger campers compete in the NCAA division, while our older campers compete in the NBA division.  Campers compete in stations, individual instruction, and games with campers of similar age and skill level.

Is the staff at Hoops Elite Academy CORI checked?

Yes.  Hoops Elite Academy checks all counselors, coaches, educators, and volunteers CORI’s.  Hoops Elite Academy is in full compliance with all standards set forth by the Department of Public Health for recreational camps for children (105 CMR 430.000: Minimum Standards For Recreational Camps For Children).

What is the staff to student-athlete ratio?

Hoops Elite Academy maintains a minimum 10:1 staff to student-athlete ratio.

Who is supervising my child in the dorms?

Each block of dormitory rooms is supervised by a staff member.  Student-athletes will be safely monitored at all times.  In the evening, the dormitory is locked and an alarm is set.  Bed checks occur regularly throughout the night.

Are meals included in the cost of tuition?

Yes.  Each student-athlete is provided meals while at camp.

Can my child bring any electronic devices?

Although not prohibited, Hoops Elite Academy strongly discourages brining any electronic devices to Hoops Elite Academy.  Hoops Elite Academy is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items.  If a student-athlete brings a cell phone, it should be turned off and stored in a locked dormitory room at all times.  Cell phones should be used for emergencies only.

What should I bring to camp?

Campers should bring:

  • Basketball Sneakers
  • T-Shirts
  • Flip-Flops

  • Sweatshirt

  • Bed Sheets (1 twin size)
  • Blanket or Sleeping Bag
  • Pillow and Pillow Case
  • Toiletries (soap, toothpaste and brush, deodorant, etc.)
  • Fan
  • Spending Money ($35-$50 for Hoops Elite Academy camp store)

What is the camp store?

The camp store is located within the dormitory in which the campers stay.  Open during the evening, campers can purchase Hoops Elite Academy gear, snacks, and drinks.
