For those who follow the landscape of high school basketball at the prep ranks, there is no doubt that the NEPSAC is regarded as the most competitive league in the country.  Vermont Academy (Sextons River, VT) has garnered significant attention leading up to this season, having added a number of high level prospects in the class of 2016.  These rising sophomores include two HEA alumni in Bruce Brown and Christian Vital.

Brown is a 6’4″ guard, who enters his first season at Vermont Academy, having dominated for two seasons in the MIAA at Wakefield High School.  Vital is a 6’2″ guard, who is also entering his first season at Vermont Academy by way of New York, will be given the keys to the Wildcats high octane offense right out of the gate.  Look for this backcourt to help lift the young Wildcats into Class AA tournament contention.

Hoop Dreams Mag was on hand to watch both Vermont Academy’s prospects at the Elite 75 Frosh/Soph Edition and Vermont Academy’s Open Gym.
