On Martin Luther King Day weekend, Spalding hosted the 2014 HoopHall Classic on the campus of Springfield College, in Springfield, MA, the birthplace of basketball.  This event has quickly become one of the premier high school events in the country, and is an annual destination for the top prep school programs to compete in front of a large contingency of high profile college coaches.  Lets take a look at how the HEA alumni played over the course of the weekend.

Saturday

Tyonne Malone, Justin Stewart, and defending division 1 MIAA champions Putnam High School defeated Woodstock Academy (CT) 77-45.  Malone consistently got to the hoop, finishing with a team high 19 points.

Chris Baldwin and his Central High School team fell to Albany Academy in the last seconds of the game 77-75.  Baldwin had a workman like effort, finishing the game with 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks.

Sunday

Kimani Lawrence and Cushing Academy defeated Worcester Academy 93-83.  The freshman had his best performance of his young high school career.  Lawrence earned his first start, rewarding Coach Connors with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
