Over the course of Martin Luther King Day weekend, a number of the top prep school programs in New England competed in the 2014 BABC Prep Classic.  A group of HEA alumni participated in the event.  Lets take a look at how each played over the weekend.

Day 1

Terance Mann and his Tilton School squad defeated The Master’s School 68-54.  Mann was dominant throughout the contest playing his trademark efficient floor game, finishing with 20 points.  The top ranked player in New England in the class of 2015 got his teammates involved offensively, all while controlling the tempo of the game.

PJ Tucker and Beaver Country Day School defeated Suffield Academy 57-39.  Keyshaun Jacobs set the tone for BCDS, finishing with a team high 11 points.  HEA alumnus Ellis Christmas sat out of the game with an injury.  Suffield Academy was led by junior forward Christian Wilkins, who finished with 16 points.

Day 2

Bruce Brown, Christian Vital, and Vermont Academy defeated Pingree School 64-52.  Brown continued his torrid pace of impressive games in the NEPSAC, finishing with 22 points and 9 assists, while leading his Wildcats in an impressive comeback victory.

Tyree Weston and Cheshire Academy defeated Rivers School 67-65.  Cheshire Academy earned the hard fought victory when senior forward and Binghamton University commit Wilfredo Rodriguez went the full length of the floor for the game winning layup.

Eric D’Aguanno and Marianapolis Prep defeated Milton Academy 58-50.  Marianapolis was led by its senior front court duo of Eric Long and Binghamton University commit Bobby Ahearn, in what was a close game from start to finish.
