Having yet to reach the high school ranks, HEA alumni in the class of 2017 are still developing into student-athletes. With that being said, our youngest group of student-athletes are working hard on their game, and looking forward to the challenge of high school basketball.

Tomas Murphy – 6’6″, F, 2017 – Wakefield, RI
What school do you attend?
Monsignor Clarke Regional School in Wakefield, Rhode Island.
What league does your school compete in?
Catholic Athletic League
Who is your head coach?
My father, Jay Murphy, is the coach.
What position(s) will you play this year?
I will play a little of every position this year, but the main one being the 4.
Describe what you did to prepare for the upcoming season?
This summer I attended several camps, including HEA, and this fall I played AAU with the New England Playaz.
How do you envision yourself contributing to your team on and off the court?
For my team this year, I feel like I am the leader on and off the court. This is my 8th grade year, and I have the most experience on the team.
What are your team goals for the season?
My team goals for this season are to win the CAL state championship, which I have done for the past two years, and win the New England championship, which I have lost in the past two years.
What are your personal goals for the season?
My personal goal for the season is to not only become the best 8th grader in Rhode Island, but the best 8th grader in New England.
