While our Class of 2015 and 2016 alumni participated in the National Prep Showcase, our Class of 2017 and 2018 alumni had a tremendous amount of success while competing in the NPS Showdown, presented by HoopRootz.

Heres a recap of who impressed over the weekend.

8th Grade Division – Our 8th grade alumni included Kimani Lawrence, Charlie Mitchell, and Charles Mitchell, who ran with a talented Expressions Elite squad.  After blowing out the competition early, the trio eventually lost in what was a highly anticipated title game versus a high level Connecticut Basketball Club.  Lawrence earned a spot on the 8th Grade All-Tournament Team.  Ghared Boyce played well for his Blue Magic squad, who made a run to the semifinals, eventually losing to Expressions Elite.

7th Grade Division – Our 7th grade alumni showed well at the NPS Showdown.  Elite Week alumnus Kani Glover contributed with solid guard play for his Diamonds in the Rough squad.  Glover’s team came up just short in what was a hard fought championship game against the Shooting Stars.  Glover earned a spot on the 7th Grade All-Tournament Team.
