This past weekend some of the top prep, public, and Catholic high schools traveled to Holyoke Community College for the Basketbull Hoop Fest.  Elite Week MVP Tyonne Malone turned in two unbelievable performances over the weekend.

Tyonne Malone Headshot 2012Tyonne Malone – 6’4″, Guard, Williston Northampton – On day 1, Malone had 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks in a 96-82 losing effort against The Masters School (NY).  The freshman continued right where he left off on day 2 of the competition, when he dropped 30 points in a tough 67-56 loss to Jean De Brebeuf (ON), all while battling through a sprained right wrist and broken right index finger suffered on day 1.  Boston College was in attendance throughout the weekend to watch Malone in action.  Malone capped off the event with a First Team All-Tournament selection.  Malone has had a huge impact for his Williston Northampton School squad, and continues to lead the turnaround efforts of a team that struggled last year.  Malone is poised to try and lead his team into the NEPSAC Class B Tournament.
