Hoops Elite Academy has three Elite Week alumni who will play pivotal roles on teams ranked in the seasons first ESPN Boston Boys Basketball Top 25. Theres a good chance these three student-athletes squads will have a presence in the MIAA basketball rankings all season long.
Heres a look at those that represent the Top 25.
#1 Springfield Central – The arrival of talented sophomore forward Chris Baldwin makes the Golden Eagles the early favorite in the MIAA, and gives them a legitimate shot at repeating as Division I champions.
#9 Wakefield – After breaking on to the scene last year, supremely talented guard Bruce Brown will play a leading role as he looks to lead the Warrior’s back to the Division 2 North Finals, and beyond.
#17 New Bedford – Flying somewhat under the radar, Tyree Weston is a versatile guard, and will be asked to do it all for a Whalers squad poised to make another run to the playoffs.
