Team DEMI 7th grade squad opened up pool play with a 56-51 victory against the back-to-back North Carolina state champion Running Rebels.  In its second game in pool play action, Team DEMI cruised to a 57-23 win against River City Reign (VA).  Having finished undefeated in pool play and earning 1st place in pool K, Team DEMI advanced to the round of 32 in the Gold championship bracket.  On Saturday evening, Team DEMI faced a disciplined Baltimore Elite team, who finished 1st in pool N.  After falling behind early, Team DEMI 7th grade was unable to close the gap, losing a hard fought contest.  Although they didn’t advance to the round of 16, Team DEMI continued to prove they can compete on a national level.
