Tomas Murphy was dominant last weekend at the Elite 75 Frosh/Soph Edition.  This should come as no surprise to those who follow basketball in New England, as Murphy comes from a longline of family basketball dominance.

Father Jay Murphy starred at Boston College in the early 80’s before being drafted 31st overall in the 1984 NBA Draft (the same draft as NBA Hall of Famers Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley, and John Stockton) eventually finishing his 10 year pro career in Europe.

Murphy’s two older brothers Erik (ranked #39 in the 2009 ESPN 100 before signing with Florida) and Alex (ranked #42 in the 2011 ESPN 100 before signing with Duke) were both highly recruited out of high school. Only a rising 8th grader, and already 6’6″ with an advanced skill set, Tomas has a chance to be the best of the Murphy family.
